Susannah Buxton is an award winning costume designer who has worked in the film and television industry for 30 years, designing costumes for many films and TV series. Susannah has won a BAFTA (best costume design, Mr Wroe’s Virgins), RTS awards (best costume design, Burton & Taylor; Shooting the Past) and an Emmy (outstanding costume design, Downton Abbey series 1 and 2). In April 2017 Susannah spoke at a Costume Symposium at the Opera House in Oslo, which was the inspiration and model for the 2018 London event.
Catriona Tyson is a former costume designer for the BBC who managed their costume departments in London and Bristol. In 1991 she set up Bristol Costume Services, a costume hire company with a production department. This is now one of the largest and most successful costume companies in the UK. In 1994 Catriona started Bristol Design Services, a company which provided staff for all the design departments (production design, costume and makeup) for television (including Casualty and BBC News), theatre and film.
Mary Davies has worked with independent feature films and filmmaker training, having run the UK side of EU-funded script development programmes (Cross Channel Film Lab). She has also managed film festival events at the Edinburgh International Film Festival where she was head of Industry, and BFI London Film Festival. Mary has also been an international film sales agent, acquisitions consultant, industry mentor, festivals consultant and script consultant.
