Costume Symposium 2019 host LIPA launches MA Costume Making

The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, host of 2019’s Costume Symposium in September, has launched a new MA Costume Making course.

It aims to produce versatile and creative costume makers with the advanced technical construction skills to produce costumes for all types of performance.  Students will advance their costume construction skills through a range of taught modules and will apply these in practical projects.  LIPA’s two show seasons maximise potential for learning on the job.  Students will also learn about associated research techniques and examine their career development priorities.  By the end of the course, graduates should be competent costume makers with a strong portfolio ready to take their place in the performing arts landscape.

The course starts in September 2020 and applications are open.  For updates about the course, email macostumeenquiry@lipa.ac.uk.
