We had planned to hold the third UK Costume Symposium at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in September 2020. Due to Covid-19, the symposium has been postponed. As our practical workshops are hands-on and involve close contact with tutors, we would not be able to deliver the full workshop experience while maintaining social distancing to keep everyone safe, and we feel that a virtual symposium would not offer the same networking opportunities as a physical event. We now hope to run it in autumn 2021.
Details of the new dates will be made available as soon as they have been confirmed. Because many costume designers and technicians have been unable to work during the lockdown, registration fees for 2021 will remain the same as in 2019.
